Giving is Good
At Lewis Brown they believe that “Giving is Good”.
Chris and Claudia each spend, not only their money, but numerous hours every month in service to their communities. Their work with the following organizations is a true passion and source of pride.
Claudia works with her Catholic church, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton of Plano, in their Youth Program where she teaches and mentors the parish youth who are preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation. Claudia often coordinates and accompanies the parish middle schoolers on different charitable outings where they learn the value of helping others. Their service in and around the DFW Metroplex brings much needed support to various non-profits in the area. Claudia and her son also serve meals at Samaritan Inn of McKinney several times each year. Samaritan Inn is an invaluable facility who serves and supports homeless Collin County families with young children.
Chris is a hands-on volunteer with Second Chance SPCA of Plano. His commitment and hard work make the shelter more beautiful and comfortable for the animals awaiting adoption, as well as their human visitors and caretakers. In addition to transporting animals to and from veterinary appointments, he also tends to the yards and building. He worked with a team to covert an old house in east Plano to the shelter it is today. He worked with a generous, local supplier to provide on-going, free mulch for the dog yards, which Chris ensures gets spread regularly with the help of other volunteers. Most recently, he redesigned their entire website to be more informative, manageable and attractive.
Other charities they support are:
Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County
2nd Chance Pups
2nd Chance Volunteers
Helping Dallas' Soupmobile
Volunteering at Samaritan Inn
